Tashi and Nima Emergency Funding Announcement.

Hey everyone, we’re in a real tough spot. We need to come up with $300 by November 5th to pay for a year of webhosting, or else everything on TashiandNima.com is going to be erased when we can’t renew. We knew our finances were going to be tight, but we had a medical issue (which we’ll discuss publicly in another post later tonight) that could not be ignored and knocked out the money we would otherwise have used to pay for hosting. The only thing we can do is to hold a commission firesale this weekend, maybe next as well, and raise enough for Bluehost. I’ve put off fixing my car window in an attempt to stay solvent. (it was smashed last week in a failed theft attempt- they left behind blood and a tool at the scene but so far haven’t been caught). My first priority is keeping Tashi and Nima online. I’ll be streaming on my Picarto as much of the weekend as possible to take commision requests. Pricing will be as straightforward as possible, and I’ll discuss that later as well. (I’ll start at $5 sketches and go up from there in small increments, depending on the complexity of each request). Donations would also be hugely appreciated, and we’ll figure out a way to thank you, whether its a placard on the website, or maybe putting an OC of yours into TaN, or something else. We’ve come so far with this, and we just can’t bear to see it fall apart. If it does, we’ll rebuild eventually, but it will disrupt our actual comic work terribly. Please consider helping us, we have nowhere else to turn. (Also please reblog to help as many people see this! It will mean the world to me!)

There are times in your life where you’ve got to ask for help … and unfortunately for us, it comes with the added burden of financial crisis… It’s with a heavy heart and grateful spirit that I ask for any and all assistance to get through this difficult time.
I’ve endured two difficult miscarriages this year, the last of which was very recent. The toll it has taken on my physical and emotional health has been great, and now I find myself burdened with several unexpected medical bills and sick leave that has been completely used up.
Art and creativity has been a huge motivator in working through postpartum  depression and anxiety issues that have been amplified as a result of these experiences. Working on Tashi and Nima has been a wonderful experience. With over 50 pages of actual comic published, exclusive art and paintings, and a fledgling community of fans, we don’t want to see our creation and all we’ve worked for be taken offline. Our hosting plan will be expiring November 5th, and while money was originally in reserve to pay the bills, our savings have been wiped out because of my medical bills and lost wages.
My husband and I are completely devoted to seeing our comic through and humbly ask for your assistance. We are planning an emergency commission drive in which we can at least keep going through with our art in the midst of troubled times.

We’ll be posting a more formal entry on this later, but we wanted to start getting the word out since our deadline is so soon…
